StageKids!

StageKids! Performing Arts Camp will be held for two weeks in 2008, from July 14-25, 2008. Friday evening performances are open to the public at 7pm on July 18 & 25 at the Grange Hall. Admission is $5 - please join us!

StageKids! is a unique and creative performing arts camp for kids age 7-17. Starting from scratch at the beginning of the week, students and teachers collaborate to create a stage play that is performed every Friday night during the camp. Over the course of the weeks different variations of the play are produced as variables such as improvisation, actors, script, roles and interpretation of the theme all change.

    Location

This summers camp will be located at Rancho Rico during the first week, July 14 - 18 and at Hidden Barn Studio (aka Barkeley's Barn) during second week, July 21 - 25. Parent are encouraged to carpool. Directions to each location are forthcoming.

Space is open to kids to register for each week.

We can also take credit card payments for your registration over the phone at 831-667-1530. Scholarships and payment plans are available to those in need of financial assistance. Please fill out a scholarship or payment plan request form and submit it with your registration or make your request by phone at 831-667-1530. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Schedule, What to Bring

Kids should arrive between 9:45 and 10am and be picked up promptly at 4pm. Please be sure to bring a bag lunch. Once the performance is determined, parents will be informed of arrival and pick up times for Fridays. We may ask you to dig through your drawers looking for costumes!

Friday evening performances are open to the public at 7pm on July 18 & 25.

Parent Volunteers

Parent volunteers are needed, especially on Friday of each week, to bring food, serve and set up for a potluck dinner, to set up for the performance and take tickets, as well as help carpool throughout the week.  On the first day of each week we will ask you to please sign up for a volunteer slot.
